17 March, 2025Beckhoff Automation will present its latest innovations in automation technologies at Advanced Factories 2025, to be held from April 8 to 10 in Barcelona. The company will highlight its ongoing commitment to advanced Industry 4.0 and IoT architectures for smart machinery and sustainable production systems.
One of the key developments on display will be TwinCAT Runtime for Linux®, which enables the execution of multiple control runtimes on a single industrial PC. This solution allows for PLC virtualization in server environments and provides access to GPU acceleration for high-demand applications such as machine vision, all within a real-time Linux-based system.
Another significant innovation is the MX-System, a modular control system that replaces traditional control cabinets. This approach reduces space requirements, weight, component count, and assembly time, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency and sustainability in production environments.
Beckhoff will also present its intelligent transport systems, XTS and XPlanar, designed to improve flexibility in manufacturing processes. XPlanar enables contactless transport using floating movers over 2D surfaces, while XTS features wireless technology (NCT) to transmit power and data in real time, turning the movers into mobile processing stations.
These solutions reflect Beckhoff's strategy to foster efficient, modular, and sustainable automation, in line with the evolving demands of advanced manufacturing.
Visitors can find Beckhoff at Hall 4, Stand 4D409, where the company will showcase its comprehensive portfolio, including industrial PCs, I/O systems, motion control solutions, and advanced automation software.
