INGETEAM LAUNCHES INGESYS RC3, ITS NEW TRAIN CONTROL AND MONITORING PLATFORM

11 March, 2025

Ingeteam has unveiled Ingesys RC3, a new Train Control and Monitoring System (TCMS) platform designed to enhance operational efficiency and reliability in railway applications. This development addresses the growing industry demands for digitalization, interoperability, and cybersecurity in rail transport systems.

The Ingesys RC3 platform integrates key functionalities such as the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), Remote Input/Output modules (RIO), Remote Condition Monitoring (RCM), and communication gateways supporting standard railway protocols. This modular architecture allows greater flexibility and scalability for onboard systems.

A key strength of the Ingesys RC3 lies in its compliance with the most demanding international railway and safety standards, including EN50155 (onboard electronic systems), EN45545-2 (fire protection in railway vehicles), and IEC 62443 (industrial automation cybersecurity).

Moreover, the system is designed to ensure high operational availability and long-term maintainability, with support guaranteed for more than 30 years — a critical factor in railway applications requiring long lifecycle performance and reliability.

The platform also offers flexibility in application development, supporting widely adopted engineering environments such as MATLAB/SIMULINK®, C/C++ programming languages, and IEC 61131-3 standard.

With this solution, Ingeteam strengthens its position in the railway sector by providing tools aimed at improving efficiency, interoperability, and sustainability in rail transport, aligned with the global shift toward smarter and more digital mobility solutions.
