INGETEAM SUPPLIES IDEKO WITH VIBRATION ANALYSIS SYSTEMS FOR THE MONITORING OF MACHINE TOOLS

14 December, 2024Ingeteam, a diversified business group with a presence in key sectors related to energy conversion, and Danobat Group, a benchmark in advanced manufacturing and design of machine tools, have joined forces to optimise the performance and maintenance of industrial equipment. Through the Ideko Technology Centre, Danobat Group has implemented Ingeteam's INGESYS CMS4 online monitoring system, an advanced solution to improve the diagnosis and service life of machine tools.

The INGESYS CMS4 system, designed specifically for industrial environments, stands out for its customisation capacity, which allows it to be adapted to the specific characteristics of each machine or application. This system is based on an open architecture, both in hardware and software, which facilitates its integration in a wide variety of industrial environments. The main function of this system is to determine the state of the machine in real time, identifying possible anomalies before they affect its operation. To do this, the system monitors critical variables such as vibrations, temperature or position, among other key parameters for the correct operation of the equipment.

The collaboration between Ingeteam and Ideko, the Danobat Group's technology centre, has enabled the installation of this system on various machine tools. During the machining process, the INGESYS CMS4 captures critical signals, mainly high-frequency vibrations, which are essential for diagnosing the state of the machines in real time. These signals, together with other data generated by the plant systems, are processed through a mathematical model developed in MATLAB Simulink by Ideko's team.

This approach not only makes it possible to accurately identify possible machine faults, but also significantly improves maintenance tasks. Once the data is processed, it is sent to a server in the cloud where it is analysed by diagnostic experts. This remote analysis capability makes it possible to anticipate problems and take preventive action before anomalies can cause major damage or unscheduled downtime, resulting in increased equipment reliability and availability.

The implementation of the INGESYS CMS4 system, together with the development of customised models by Ideko, represents a significant advance in predictive maintenance. Thanks to this approach, companies can optimise their maintenance processes, reduce operating costs and extend the useful life of their industrial assets. This solution also aligns with the growing demands of the advanced manufacturing sector, which requires increasingly accurate and efficient tools to meet the challenges of the global market.

In conclusion, the incorporation of the INGESYS CMS4 system and its integration into Ideko's processes demonstrates the potential of digitalisation and predictive analytics to transform industrial maintenance, ensuring safer, more efficient and sustainable operation of machine tools.
