28 February, 2025Smartlog has been recognized at the 8th edition of the Consumer Goods Innovation Observatory for its groundbreaking implementation of the AutoStore system at Eroski's logistics center in Mallorca. The solution, which enhances operational efficiency and sustainability, was selected as one of the year’s most outstanding initiatives in the consumer goods sector. The award was presented on February 18 at the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities.
Automation and logistics efficiencySmartlog’s solution integrates the AutoStore storage system with its Galys management software, optimizing storage space and significantly reducing energy consumption. AutoStore’s flexibility and scalability allow for seamless adaptation to demand fluctuations without requiring infrastructure expansions, promoting a more efficient and sustainable logistics model.
Beyond productivity gains, automation has significantly improved working conditions at the distribution center. By reducing physical strain in daily tasks and enhancing ergonomics, the system has created a safer and more efficient work environment.
Galys: the operational brainSmartlog’s Galys software has played a crucial role in integrating AutoStore with Eroski’s logistics systems. Its real-time inventory management capabilities and ability to coordinate both automated and traditional systems have minimized errors, optimized replenishment planning, and reduced waste of perishable goods.
A benchmark in sector innovationThe Consumer Goods Innovation Observatory highlighted this project among the 20 most innovative initiatives of the year, recognizing its impact on sustainability, digitalization, and operational optimization. With this implementation, Smartlog strengthens its position as a key player in the technological transformation of the logistics sector, providing advanced solutions for the current and future challenges of distribution.
