Aliauto, a leading company in the spare parts sector for industrial vehicles and hydraulics, has signed an agreement with Smartlog for the development of an advanced logistics centre at its new headquarters in Alcalá de Guadaira (Seville). This collaboration aims to transform the company's logistics processes through the integration of state-of-the-art robotic technology.
The project includes the implementation of an integrated solution comprising the AutoStore system, two Smartlift vertical storage systems and the Galys management suite, designed by Smartlog.
Cutting-edge technology for efficient storage
The core of this new installation will be the AutoStore system, which will provide compact storage and order picking under the ‘Good to person’ model. This system will handle up to 12,200 containers, operated by seven robots and three carousel picking stations. One of these stations will be dedicated to serving the shop counter directly, maximising efficiency in customer service. It will also have two conveyor-type entry points to speed up replenishment.
The two Smartlift systems will optimise storage for different sized parts, complementing the main system. This entire infrastructure will be managed by the Galys Auto and Galys WIS suites, which will ensure comprehensive control and precise coordination of the processes, including monitoring at all times.
A strategic step towards sustainability and innovation
With this new warehouse, which will cover an area of 10,000 m², Aliauto seeks to strengthen its logistics capacity to respond to the growing demands of the market. The incorporation of these technologies promises
Jorge Vázquez, CEO of Aliauto, said that this advance reinforces the company's position as a benchmark in innovative logistics: ‘This investment reflects our commitment to innovation and excellence in customer service, by incorporating mobile robotics and digitisation that allows us to make a leap in efficiency, responding with agility to the needs of our customers’.
For his part, Beñat Irazustabarrena, Smartlog's Business Development Director in Europe, highlighted the importance of the project: ‘We have designed a customised solution that optimises every aspect of Aliauto's operations, significantly improving efficiency, accuracy and speed of service’.
This joint project between Aliauto and Smartlog represents an outstanding example of how technology and innovation can transform logistics in key sectors such as industrial spare parts. With integrated solutions that combine advanced robotics, specialised software and sustainability strategies, both companies are leading the way towards more agile, efficient operations adapted to current and future market demands.
This new warehouse will not only allow Aliauto to reinforce its leadership in the sector, but also positions Smartlog as a benchmark in the development of smart and sustainable logistics infrastructures.
